Piet Sielck

Piet Sielck ( born November 14, 1964) is a German guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. He is a member and founder of the Power-/Speed-Metal-Band Iron Savior and owner of the studio Powerhouse in Hamburg.

Career

Sielcks first musical stop was the band Gentry ( from which later developed Helloween ), in which he played as a teenager along with Kai Hansen Guitar. In 1982 he left the band and worked as a sound engineer, then moved for a year for training purposes to Los Angeles. After his return he began a career as a producer; his first production was Heading for Tomorrow, the debut album by Gamma Ray, the new band of his old friend Hansen. Other well-known bands, with whom he collaborated include Uriah Heep, Saxon and Blind Guardian. Especially for the latter, he maintains a good relationship, so he worked on several of their albums as a guest musician.

In 1996, Sielck his own band, Iron Savior, along with Kai Hansen and Blind Guardian drummer Thomen Stauch. The two went up later for reasons of time again, but Sielck took the band further with new musicians. 2004 he also joined them as a guitarist in a new band Savage Circus Stauch. In December 2011, leaving Sielck Savage Circus, to devote himself exclusively Iron Savior again.

Furthermore Sielck was one of the three directors of the label Dockyard 1, whose seat was in Hamburg. Sielck occurred primarily as a donor and figurehead for the label. The label introduced in 2009 the operation.
