Pieter and François Hemony

Hemony is the name of a Dutch bell founders family.

François ( * 1609 in Levécourt, † 1667 in Amsterdam) and Pieter (Pierre ) (* 1619 in Levécourt, † 1680 in Amsterdam), refugees from Lorraine, operated from about 1640 to 1657 in Zutphen, a foundry. They poured a total of about 50 chimes ( carillons, Dutch:. Beiaarden ) highest quality, of which about half are still whole or in part.
