Pieter Custers

Pieter Custers ( born March 13, 1984 in Weert ) is a Dutch archer.

Custer's already celebrated as a junior shooter international success. He became European Team Champion Junior 2001. After the change in the Dutch men's team, he won at the 2002 European Championships in Oulu, Finland the silver medal in the team competition. At the World Championship 2003 in New York Custer was with the Dutch team in sixth. With a third place in the individual competition and the victory in the team competition at the European Championships 2004, Custer secured qualification for the Olympic Games.

In Athens he first participated in the Olympic Games. In individual competition, he was after the qualifying round with 646 points from 72 arrows to rank 36th in the first round but then he lost his duel against the Kazakhs Stanislaw Zaborodskij with 141:145 and retired. In the final account, he finally reached rank 44 Better it ran together with his teammates Wietse van Alten and Ron van der Hoff. In the team competition, it reached number five. Pieter Custers is coached by his father John.
