Pieterlen (French Perles ) is a municipality in the administrative district of Biel / Bienne Canton of Berne in Switzerland.
In addition to the municipality, there is a Reformed Evangelical and a Roman Catholic parish and civic community.
Geography
The neighboring communities of north clockwise are starting Lengnau, Meinisberg, Safnern, Biel / Bienne, suction and Romont BE. Pieterlen is located on the foot of the Jura in the Bernese Seeland.
Policy
Community is President Brigitte Sidler (2011 ).
The voter shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 31.8 %, SP 18.4 %, 14.5 % BDP, FDP 12.1 %, 5.8 % GPS, EDU 4.3 %, PIP 4.0 %, 3.4 % glp, CVP 2.0 %.
Others
The community has maintained for some time a relationship to the Czech Třešť. In addition to political exchange is the cultural exchange at the top. These include, inter alia, Exchange of students and performances by the music companies in the communities.
