Pietraperzia

Pietraperzia is a city in the province of Enna in Sicily region of Italy with 7196 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Pietraperzia is located 32 km southwest of Enna. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.

The neighboring municipalities are Barrafranca, Caltanissetta (CL ), Enna, Mazzarino (CL ), Piazza Armerina and Riesi (CL).

History

The village was founded in the Middle Ages. Pietraperzia developed at this time to a fortress around.
