Pietro Ferrero Jr.

Pietro Ferrero ( born September 11, 1963 in Turin, † April 18, 2011 in Camps Bay, South Africa ) was an Italian entrepreneur and from 1997 until his death in 2011, head of the confectionery manufacturer Ferrero.

Life

Ferrero studied biology and worked from 1985 at Ferrero Germany. Later he moved to the group headquarters to Alba, where he was responsible for the production and technical issues. Pietro Ferrero and his brother Giovanni the management of the family business took over in 1997, the third generation of her father, Michele Ferrero. By 2008, Ferrero has also served as a director on the board of the bank Mediobanca.

Ferrero died on 18 April 2011 at the age of 47 years in South Africa as the result of a heart attack, which he suffered during a bicycle trip on the coastal road between Camps Bay and Llandudno. He leaves a wife and three children.
