Pietro Piller Cottrer

Pietro Piller Cottrer ( born December 20, 1974 in Pieve di Cadore ) is an Italian former cross-country skier.

Pietro Piller Cottrer took at the age of eight years for the first time at a FIS race in part. In 1994 he then for the first time in the World Cup. Three years later, the Italians in the 50 km race at the Holmenkollen ski festival celebrated his first World Cup victory. In the same year he won the bronze medal in the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf Piller Cottrer won the gold medal over 15 km in free style. A year later at the Olympic Winter Games in Torino, he won the bronze medal in the 30 km pursuit and gold in the relay. In the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo 2007 he won the bronze medal in the 30 km pursuit again. In February 2013 he finished his career.
