Pihla Viitala

Pihla Viitala ( born September 30, 1982 in Helsinki) is a Finnish actress.

Pihla Viitala began her acting training in 2004 at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki. Her first feature film role in 2007 she received the Finnish film Ganes. Her breakthrough experienced in 2008 with the lead role in Tears of April - The Indomitable. 2009 came out her foreign feature film. She played the lead role in the English-speaking Icelandic horror movie Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre. In 2010 she was awarded at the International Film Festival Berlin 2010 the European Shooting Star and presented during the Festival in the Panorama section of her latest film Bad Family ( Paha perhe ) before, which was produced by Aki Kaurismäki. In 2013 she played a supporting role in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Pihla Viitala speaks her native language Finnish nor English, French and Swedish.
