Pimsiri Sirikaew

Pimsiri Sirikaew ( Thai: พิ ม ศิริ ศิริ แก้ว; born April 25, 1990 in Khon Kaen ) is a Thai weightlifter. She won at the 2012 Olympic Games in London in the weight category to 58 kg, the silver medal.

Career

Pimsiri Sirikaew began in her hometown of Khon Kaen, where she still lives, as young people with the weight lifting. She is 1.49 meters tall and starts in the weight category to 58 kg body weight.

Your first start in an international championship she graduated in 2008. She was in Cali / Colombia Junior World Champion (Age Group U 18 ). Their performance was 211 kg ( 91-120 ) in a duel. In 2009 she was employed at the Women's World Cup in Goyang / South Korea. She scored there in a duel 205 kg ( 90-115 ) and thus finished 5th in the weight category to 58 kg.

In 2010 she took part in Sofia at the World Youth Championship (U 20) and came in a duel to 210 kg ( 90-120 ). With this performance, she took behind the Chinese Deng Mengrong, 221 kg ( 98-123 ) reached the 2nd place. In the same year she started even at the Women's World Championship in Antalya. She reached there 207 kg ( 89-118 ) and ended up with it on the 8th Place.

While Pimsiri Sirikaew terms of performance stagnated in the years 2009 and 2010, she succeeded in 2011 finally a strong boost in performance. She reached at the 2011 World Championships in Paris in a duel 230 kg ( 99-131 ), winning behind Nastassja Nowikawa, Belarus, 237 ( 101-136 ) and Li Xueying, China, 236 kg ( 103-133 ) the bronze medal. With its shock power of 131 kg, won a bronze medal.

In the Olympic year 2012, she was in Pyoengtaek / South Korea with a capacity of 231 kg ( 100-131 ) Asia champion before Kuo Hsing -Chun, Taiwan, 228 kg ( 98-13 ). Well prepared then they started in July 2012 at the Olympic Games in London. She scored in single combat the new personal best of 236 kg ( 100-136 ), winning behind Li Xueying, which scored 246 kg ( 108-138 ), the silver medal.

In July 2013, it was launched at the Universiade in Kazan. She was there but not in a good shape and scored in a duel only 216 kg ( 95-121 ), which extended only to the 4th place in the weight category to 58 kg.
