Pinch valve

Pneumatic Pinch Valves are usually of a circular or elliptical shaped housing and a custom built highly elastic elastomer hose piece, which is to center in the housing is compressed at both ends by means of two flanges or sleeves.

Normally exists between the round or elliptical shaped housing and the highly elastic elastomer hose piece a so-called Steuer-/Funktionsraum ( cavity ).

Function

The function of the pneumatic hose squeezing is very simple. By supplying a pressure of at least 2 bar in the so-called Steuer-/Funktionsraum by neutral gas, compressed air or fluid in the Schlauchquetschventilgehäuse the highly elastic elastomer hose piece deformed lip-shaped and thus blocks the production stream -tight. Once the Steuer-/Funktionsraum of Schlauchquetschventilgehäuses vented or drained accordingly ( fluid ), the highly elastic elastomer hose piece open again due to its enormous resilience and with the help of the fluid pressure to the full passage.

The exact function is based on the 3D animated film, see Related links, very well illustrated.

Areas of application

Pneumatic Pinch Valves are mainly used for the shut off of abrasive, corrosive and fibrous products. They are ideal for use with these products because of their absolutely free product flow, resulting in a virtually clog- free fitting result. The pneumatic pinch valves provide tight shut-off, even when working with solids, such as granules, powder, pellets, shavings, sand, cement, gravel, textile fibers, coal and fine glass splinters.

In conjunction with an electro-pneumatic proportional valve, the pneumatic pinch valve may even be used for a coarse control, and / or dosage of the product stream.

With a choice of a wide variety of elastomeric qualities, such as natural rubber, EPDM, NBR, chloroprene rubber, Viton and silicone rubber, and a variety of different housing, flange both sleeve materials such as plastic, aluminum or stainless steel pneumatic pinch valves are now in a variety of industries or used for different applications.

As application examples of these are:

  • Bulk material technology,
  • Extraction,
  • Waterjet cutting systems,
  • Water treatment plants,
  • Dosing,
  • Weighing systems,
  • Vacuum toilet system
  • Powder coating,
  • Cement industry,
  • Silobefülleinheiten,
  • Mörtel-/Gipsspritzanlagen,
  • Commercial Vehicle Technology,
  • Mash distribution of the wine industry

Benefits of a hose squeezing

The advantages of a hose squeezing over other shut-off valves, such as ball valves, are the 100% -free product flow and low weight. Next optimum sealing, minimum frictional resistance, no clogging, and low air consumption are to be mentioned. Also noteworthy is the change of the elastomer hose piece ( cuff), which is very simple.
