Pineal gland cyst

As glial pineal cyst pineal cyst or a benign change in the area of the pineal gland ( pineal gland ) is called.

Pineal cysts are very common; in the vast majority number is a clinically asymptomatic incidental finding, which plays no pathological significance. Pathology

Histologically, there is a pseudozystischen cavity whose wall is formed by astrocytes with numerous Rosenthal fibers; epithelial lining does not exist.
