Pingelshagen

Pingelshagen is a municipality in the southern part of the North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Lützow - Lübstorf, located in the municipality of Lützow.

Geography

The community Pingelshagen is right on the northwestern outskirts of the state capital Schwerin. The village is surrounded by woods and fields on the regional road from Schwerin to Greve mills. Pingelshagen is 2.07 km ² the smallest area of ​​municipality of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

History

Pingelshagen was first documented in 1283. The agriculture played in the village for many years an important role, first in the courts and Büdnereien, from 1953 to 1990 in the local LPG and its successor companies. After 1990 Pingelshagen was through the construction of new residential areas especially for the Schwerin into an attractive residential location. The population has since risen to more than three times.
