Pinggu District
Pinggu (Chinese平谷 区, pinyin Pínggǔ Qū ) is a municipality in the eastern part of the Chinese capital Beijing. In 1999, he counted 391 182 inhabitants. The District Pinggu existed until 2001. The district covers an area of 950 square kilometers and is bordered to the east of the port city of Tianjin. Pinggu is predominantly agricultural and has for the peach growing regional importance.
