Pingxiang
Pingxiang (Chinese萍乡 市, pinyin Pingxiang Shì ) is a prefecture-level city in western China's Jiangxi province.
The administrative area of the city has an area of 3827 km ² and about 1.811 million inhabitants ( end of 2004).
Located in the city area alumni club of railway workers and miners of Anyuan (安源 路 矿工 人 俱乐部 旧址, Anyuan lùkuàng gongren jùlèbù jiùzhǐ ) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
Administrative Divisions
At county level, Pingxiang is made up of two districts and three counties. These are:
- Municipality Anyuan (安源 区), 212 km ², 370,000 inhabitants ( end of 2002), center, seat of the city government;
- Municipality Xiangdong (湘东区), 853 km ², 390,000 inhabitants ( end of 2002);
- Circle Lianhua (莲花 县), 1062 km ², 240,000 inhabitants ( end of 2002), capital: greater community Qinting (琴 亭镇);
- Circle Shangli (上栗县), 712 km ², 490,000 inhabitants ( end of 2002), capital: greater community Shangli (上 栗 镇);
- Luxi county (芦溪 县), 963 km ², 270,000 inhabitants ( end of 2002), capital: greater community Luxi (芦溪 镇).
