Pinocytosis
As pinocytosis ( " cell drinking" ) refers to the absorption of smaller amounts of fluid and dissolved substances from the surrounding medium of a cell in its interior. The inclusion in the cytoplasm is in the form of vesicles ( blisters) maximum diameter of 150 nm.
When receiving solid substances is called instead of phagocytosis, the generic term for both processes is called endocytosis.
