Piotr Piechniak

Piotr Piechniak ( born March 9, 1977 in Stalowa Wola, Poland ) is a Polish footballer. The is under contract with Odra Wodzisław Slaski.

Career

Association

Piechniak began his career in his hometown at Stal Stalowa Wola. Here he made his debut in the 2nd league and soon became a regular player. In the 1998/1999 season he played for the second division Hetman Zamość. Overall, he played five seasons in the second league, before moving in 2000 to Groclin Grodzisk in the Ekstraklasa. With Groclin he won two times the Polish Cup and the League Cup twice. Following the merger of Groclin Grodzisk and Polonia Warsaw he played 2008/2009 in Polonia Warsaw. For the second half of the season 2008/2009 Piotr Piechniak joined PAE Levadiakos Greece. After only half a season, he returned to Poland and signed with Odra Wodzisław Slaski.

National

In the Polish national football team he made his debut on 11 November 2003 in a friendly against Malta ( 4-0). His third and last game for Poland Piechniak denied on March 2, 2007 in Jerez de la Frontera against Estonia ( 4-0).
