Piotr Reiss
Piotr Reiss ( born June 20, 1972 in Poznan, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.
Club career
Piotr Reiss began his football career in his hometown, near Lech Poznan. However, it did in his first professional season (1990/ 91) does not prevail and was loaned to the club unterklassigen Kotwica Kórnik. About the detour second division ( Amica Wronki ), he returned again in 1994 to Lech Poznań back and immediately became an firm and regular players. In 2002 he returned to Poland to Lech Poznań and was promoted here in the next few years for real icon of the club. In 2004, he was able to secure with Lech Poznań both the Polish Cup as well as the Polish Supercup. In the 2006/07 season he was even top scorer in the Ekstraklasa with 15 goals.
On 2 February 2009 Reiss was arrested under suspicion of corruption. Together with a former board member of the Polish first division side Lech Poznan, the player has been placed in the prosecutor's office in Wrocław. According to the TV channel TVN24 was announced that Reiss was involved in the manipulation of games in the season 2003/ 04. A day later he admitted the charges and was suspended by his club Lech Poznań unlimited. In July 2009, Piotr Reiss joined the Polish second division club Warta Poznan. End of August 2012 he returned to Lech Poznan back and signed a contract until the end of December 2012. Thereafter, it is the club in another capacity continue to be available. In December 2012, but his contract was extended as a player until the end of the season 2012/13. End of May 2013 he was then end of his career at the end of the 2012/13 season known.
National
In the Polish national Piotr Reiss made his debut on 10 November 1998 in a friendly against Slovakia ( 3-1 win for Poland). Overall, he played four matches and scored one goal while ( 3-1 against Slovakia ). His last international game he played on 29 March 2000 in a friendly against Hungary ( 0-0).
