Piotr Trzaskalski

Piotr Trzaskalski ( born February 5, 1964 in Łódź) is a Polish film director.

Trzaskalski studied Cultural Studies at the University of Łódź and then film direction at the Film School in Łódź. After graduation he first worked for television.

His film Edi, 2002 was one of the most popular films in Poland. The film was very positively received by the audience as well as from film critics. The film won awards at the Berlinale, at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and received the Audience Award at the annual award of the Polish Film Awards. The main role of the film played the former child star Henryk Gołębiewski who again succeeded through this film to great popularity. In 2005 his second feature film The Master appeared.
