Pippa Mann
Pippa Mann ( born August 11, 1983 in London) is a British auto racing driver. She took in 2011 and 2013 in some races in the IndyCar Series in part.
Career
Before man made his debut in Formula racing in 2003, they had begun their motorsport career in karting. In 2003 she competed in the British Formula Renault Winter Championship and was 22nd in the overall standings. In 2004 she competed in the regular British Formula Renault and finished the season in 34th place overall. In 2005 she appeared for Comtec Racing in the French Formula Renault and Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. While she finished 21st overall in the French Formula Renault, they remained in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup without points. In 2006 she stayed with Comtec Racing and finished 19th in the British Formula Renault. It launched again in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and stayed again with no points.
2007 changed man Cram Competition in the Formula Renault 3.5 and was team mate Fairuz Fauzy. She scored a point and finished their first season in 27th place overall, while Fauzy could produce several podium finishes. In 2008, she moved within the Formula Renault 3.5 to P1 Motorsport. While her teammate Giedo van der Garde decided the championship title for himself, man never got beyond the seventh place and finished at the end of the season 25 overall. In addition, they made off of formula racing experience in the GT car in the British Porsche Carrera Cup.
2009 saw man to North America in the Indy Lights and was at Panther Racing teammate Martin Plowman. In most races they do not hiel with her teammates and finished at the end of the season with an eighth place as best result 14th overall. 2010 man denied their second season in the Indy Lights for Sam Schmidt Motorsports. Racing in Joliet they just missed their first victory. Man led the race the most laps and was passed only two laps to go, James Hinchcliffe and came in second. A week later, she finally won the race at the Kentucky Speedway with a large oval racing for a lead of more than six seconds ahead of Hinchcliffe. At the end of the season they finished fifth overall.
2011 kicked man for Conquest Racing in the IndyCar Series for Indianapolis 500. They then took part in three further races for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. In her first race for the team, she received no start release after a training accident. She suffered in the accident, two minor injuries to the spine. At the last race of the season had to man after an accident again to the hospital. She suffered severe burns on the little finger of the right hand, which made a recovery operation required. At the end of the season they finished 38th overall. 2012 was man without a permanent cockpit. At the Indianapolis 500 to man held since the beginning of training on the track, but received no cockpit. Finally, she took part in only two races in the Auto GP World Series for Campos Racing. Here, in two starts achieved a top 10 ranking and was 20th in the driver standings. 2013 was awarded man for four races of the IndyCar Series a cockpit at Dale Coyne Racing. Her best result was a 15th place.
