Pippi Goes on Board (film)

Pippi goes on board is a Swedish children's film from the year 1969. Astrid Lindgren wrote the script, based on their Pippi Longstocking novels. Directed by Olle Hellbom.

The film opened on October 31, 1969 in West German cinemas. It was edited together from episodes of the television series Pippi Longstocking.

Action

Pippi has decided to stay with Tommy and Annika. Therefore she goes again from on board the " Hoppetosse ," the ship of her father.

Now the three of them, nothing stands in the way to more adventures. There would, for example, the " Krummelus pills ". Because Pippi, Tommy and Annika never want to be great. As well, Pippi as yet these " pills " are in the house. And with the right " mantra" it works then certainly with the " non- case- becoming." Pippi then said, however, that the pills but quite a long time would be in their closet, and maybe it was after all only dried peas.

Pippi explained to them, if you would only open enough through the world, one could discover many beautiful things. And so she finds many "treasures" such as an old rusty bucket. Spontaneously, she sits down this on the head and goes for a walk with it. She promptly falls down with it. And Pippi says convincingly that it was good to have this bucket found, otherwise they would have possibly hit your head. Also Annika's argument that it would be did not like without a bucket, Pippi does not allow.

Pretty wild it is, as Pippi past looks at school. Tommy and Annika have Pippi told what great things they do but in school. So Pippi comes with her horse "Little Uncle " rode past; time for the third hour. After getting up so early, that just does not work. Pippi happens to have their own way to solve things. And so the teacher has their difficulties with Pippi. But how is one example solve the task to paint his favorite animal, so if you only have a tiny piece of paper? Since it fits her "Little Uncle " impossible. And that the teacher which is not thrilled that Pippi instead painted the wall of the classroom, they just can not understand. And as Pippi makes after a day already back end with the school.

With the celebration of Christmas, the film ends. Although Pippi so too because their own ideas, but also for Pippi it should be contemplative at Christmas. And so she thinks of her mother, who looks down on them as angels and protect them.
