Pippi Longstocking is a German - Swedish television series from director Olle Hellbom produced in 1968. It is based on the Pippi Longstocking novels by Astrid Lindgren. The popular theme song is until today Hey, Pippi Longstocking!

The original Swedish version has 13 episodes and was aired in 1969.

In Germany, the series was shown until October 1971, after four long movies with Inger Nilsson had been shown in the cinema already. The series was then continued by the movies Pippi were divided in Taka- Tuka-Land and Pippi out of control in 4 episodes and appended to the series episodes.

Feature Films

Before the complete series has been synchronized, feature-length films were cut and translated for the cinema of the series in Germany first. It came Pippi Longstocking Pippi and leaves the ship (both 1969). It was followed by the movies Pippi in Taka- Tuka-Land and Pippi out of control that were shown on television.

1973, a third feature-length film entitled hardening commercial Pippi Långstrump from the series was produced in Sweden. In Germany this was shown in 1987 at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck, entitled Here comes Pippi Longstocking.

Synchronization

In the television series Inger Nilsson was synchronized in all 21 episodes of Eva Mattes. The films were eingesprochen to a large extent with other speakers again from scratch. Andrea L' Arronge took this synchronization by Inger Nilsson ( Pippi Longstocking ).
