Pirate Party (Norway)

Piratpartiet ( German: The Pirate Party ) is a political party in Norway. It is part of the international movement of Pirate Parties.

History

Efforts to establish a Norwegian Pirate Party already existed shortly after the founding of the Swedish Piratpartiet on 1 January 2006. After two unsuccessful attempts, a founding preparatory meeting in Trondheim was held 16 June 2012. The official foundation took place on December 16 2012, after the required official registration as party supporters 5000 signatures had been collected. Registration took place on 24 January 2013., The party has drawn up for election in Norway 2013 lists in all provinces.

Organization

Provincial organizations exist since April 2, 2013 in all provinces. The PPN used Liquid Feedback for internal opinion. With " Unge Pirater " is a youth organization.
