Piscine Molitor

The Piscine Molitor (also Grands établissements balnéaires d' Auteuil ) is a Grade I listed swimming pool in the district of Paris Auteuil. The bathroom in the late Art Deco style was designed by architect Lucien Pollet and opened in 1929 by Johnny Weissmuller. Since the closure in 1989, a citizens' initiative seeks to reopen.

The pool includes one located outdoors summer pool with 50 -meter lanes and a 33 m long winter pool in the building. Both pools are surrounded by three-storey whorls that form the picture of the bath with the numerous dressing rooms on the two upper floors. The winter pool is closed by a glass roof. In the swimming pool building are numerous stained glass windows from the studio of Louis Barillet.

At summer pool the first bikini fashion world was presented on July 5, 1946. It was designed by Louis Réard and presented by Micheline Bernardini.
