Pitsos

Pitsos (Greek Πίτσος ) is a manufacturer of household appliances from Athens and a regional brand of BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances. In Greece Pitsos has a market share of 40%. Pitsos is the last major home appliance brand in Greece today.

History

Pitsos was founded in 1865 in Athens and manufactured oil stoves and gas stoves. In 1959 the production of refrigerators, the program was extended to other home appliances such as TV. In 1977, Siemens, the company, later the company was renamed in BSP ( brand continues Pitsos ). While devices of Pitsos be sold in other countries under the name Siemens and Bosch, the program in Greece is supplemented with other devices of the BSH (Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances ) group.

Capacity

The company employs 1,200 people and produces 400,000 units a year, 30 % of which are exported.
