Pittsburg State University

The Pittsburg State University ( PSU or Pitt State also called ) is a state university in Pittsburg in the U.S. state of Kansas. Currently, about 7,100 students are enrolled.

History

The college was founded in 1903 as the Auxiliary Manual Training Normal School. After several name changes, it received its present name in 1977.

Sports

The sports teams of Pitt State are the gorillas. The university is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
