Pivot joint

A pivot joint ( articulatio trochoidea ) is referred to in the anatomy of a joint form in which the joint head is formed channel-shaped in the form of a roller, and the socket, whereby as opposed to the pivot pin moves the concave socket here to the journal. From the hinge, the pivot joint differs in that the joint roll like a wheel is to the bone to the wheel axle. The wheel joint movement is possible only in one axis. Since this is in the direction of the bone, here only rotary movements (rotation) around the longitudinal axis of the bone instead.

Suspension joints are at the joint between the radius and ulna ( radioulnar joint Proximal and Distal ) and formed in the second head joint.
