PKCS

PKCS (Public Key Cryptography Standards; German cryptography standards for public key ) is a set of cryptographic specifications. These were developed by RSA Laboratories with others from 1991. The development was done with the aim of accelerating the spread of asymmetric cryptosystems.

The PKCS standard currently consists of 13 individual documents ( Nos. 2 and 4 have now been combined with the number 1).
