PKP class ET41

The locomotives of the series ET41 Polish State Railways ( PKP) are two-part for electric locomotives to haul freight trains.

As a follow- type of the series, the series ET40 ET41 (type designation 203E ) was procured from 1977. It was EU07 (type 4E) developed from the 1965-1974 series built by two locomotives were kurzgekuppelt with only one-sided cab. The lack of cabs were compensated by ballast. The two Lokhälften marked to distinguish as "A" and "B". Compared to the EU07 series further changes have been made: beaded side walls and prepare for the installation of automatic clutches.

Manufacturer Series ET41 was Cegielski, while the EU07 series was built by Pafawag. Until 1983 200 series locomotives ET41 were procured. Due to declining freight was decided to discontinue the construction and instead weiterzubeschaffen the EU07 series. Construction took over further Cegielski, the innovations of the ET41 compared to the EU07 were retained (Type 303E ).

Three separate halves of ET41 were 1990-1994 rebuilt to EU07 -537, -544 and -545.
