PKP class Ol49

The PKP is a series Ol49 Passenger Train Locomotive Polish State Railways PKP.

The series was developed from 1949 by Ol49 Fablok in Chrzanow. In the years 1951-1954 a total of 115 locomotives were manufactured at Fablok. Three locomotives arrived in North Korea, the remaining 112 pieces received the PKP.

The locomotive was designed primarily for passenger service on main lines. However, the low axle load of 17 t also allowed the use of in addition to network.
