PKP PLK

The PKP Polskie line JSC (PKP PLK ) are a Polish railway infrastructure company based in Warsaw's Praga. The PKP PLK is part of the PKP Group and manages the majority of the Polish railway network and railway property. In addition, she coordinates maintenance, modernization and new construction projects of the railway network and accepts the establishment of timetables. The company was formed in 2001 after the breakdown of the PKP in several subsidiaries, covering a respective area of ​​responsibility and thus also met with European Union standards.

Objectives of PKP PLK is including the integration into the European rail network and the associated implementation of European technology standards for an international, interoperable rail traffic. Furthermore, it should increase travel comfort and security infrastructure side and minimize travel times.

The company is majority owned by the Polish Ministry of Finance ( 64.02 %), while the remaining 35.98 % is held by PKP. The share capital of the company amounts to PLN 13,043,747,000.00.
