Pla Pak District

Amphoe Pla Pak ( Thai: อำเภอ ปลาปาก ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Nakhon Phanom. The Nakhon Phanom Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Phanom which, Renu Nakhon, Na Kae and Wang Yang of Nakhon Phanom Amphoe Phon Na Kaeo and the Kusuman and in the province of Sakon Nakhon.

History

The area of present-day district was originally a Tambon Mueang Nakhon Phanom Amphoe. On 16 June 1965, became the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) promoted, initially consisting of the three Tambon Pla Pak, Nong Hi and Ta Ku Kai. The first county chairman was a certain Winai Bunratnaplin ( ร.ท. วินัย บุญ รัตน ผลิน ). On November 17, 1971 Pla Pak has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe That Phanom is divided into eight municipalities ( tambon), which in turn in 85 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Pla Pak itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปลาปาก ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the Tambon Pla Pak.

In addition, there are eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
