Plai Phraya District

Plai Phraya ( Thai: ปลายพระยา ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of Krabi province in southern Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phanom which, Phrasaeng, Chai Buri Surat Thani province, Amphoe Khao Phanom and the Ao Luek Krabi Province and Amphoe Thap Put the province of Phang Nga.

Parks

The Wildlife Reserve Khlong Phraya ( Khlong Phraya Wildlife Sanctuary ) lies on the border to Surat Thani.

History

The county Plai Phraya was posted on June 15, 1973 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Plai Phraya, Khao Khao To Khen and were separated from Amphoe Ao Luek. He got on April 12, 1977 its full Amphoe status.

Management

The Plai Phraya Amphoe is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 33 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Plai Phraya itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of the tambon Plai Phraya.

Each tambon is a Tambon Administration Organization ( TAO - tambon Administrative Organization) manages.
