Plane (river)

The Plane is a left, about 57 km long tributary of the Havel in Brandenburg ( Germany ). Its catchment area covers an area of 639 km ².

Name

After Sophie Wauer the name "Plane " from the altpolabischen * comes plony and refers to a " river that flows in the plane ." * plony refers to a flat, flat and barren terrain.
