Planes (Film)
Planes is an American computer- animated comedy adventure in 3D, which was produced by DisneyToon Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
The movie premiere was in the United States on August 9, 2013. As of August 29 of the same year the movie was released in cinemas in Germany. Originally only a release on DVD and Blu -ray was planned. A sequel titled Planes: Fire & Rescue will follow in 2014.

The biggest dream of Sprühflugzeugs Dusty is to compete one day at a legendary airplane race, the "Wings Around the Globe ". As a coach he has the skipper who is said to have a lot of missions as a hijacker behind. However, it does not fly at the beginning of the film, but is drawn by a forklift. During the first training, the date he was able to get only with difficulty, he realizes that he has a fear of heights. So he must fly low, which has some disadvantages. Production
The film was not produced by Pixar, but set in the world of Disney / Pixar 's Cars. The executive producer of Planes is John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, who was already responsible for the Cars and Cars 2.
On August 20, 2011 were announced at the D23 Expo that Jon Cryer will lend the protagonist Dusty in the original English his voice. Cryer later divorced from out of production and was replaced by Dane Cook. A modified version of the trailer was released on 27 February 2013.
Criticism
"With Plan Disney brings a flying backup copy of Pixar's " Cars " in theaters without introducing their own ideas. " Plan " makes the formulaic structure of the film and the clichéd characters no secret of which target audience you would like to attract to the movies. For the youngest moviegoers the adventure is accordingly an entertaining fun for the accompanying adults, the film is but an ordeal. "
" It was supposed to speak for itself, when you mentioned that " plan " was intended as pure DVD production. But by the immense popularity of the "Cars" franchises the makers have thought that one a little more can take through a worldwide theatrical release. Unfortunately, this is now a film to be seen on the big screens, which is immature in many ways. "
