Planets Project
Preservation and Long -term Access through Networked Services, short PLANETS, was a project funded by the European Union for four-year project for the development of services and tools that support the long-term preservation of digital information. The project ran from 2006 to 2010.
Financing
The Gesamtbuget amounted to € 14 million. Of these, 8.6 million came from the Sixth Framework Programme of the EU.
Project partners
The PLANETS project brought together the unique experiences that are required for researching, developing, delivering and producing practical digital preservation solutions. The consortium consisted of European national libraries and archives, universities and technology companies.
