Plastic Beach

Plastic Beach is the third studio album by the band Gorillaz. It was released in March 2010.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett started in November 2007 with a Gorillaz project called Carousel, which should be no new album first and was for a while only concepts. 2008, the two then decided to record a new album with the Gorillaz characters should be represented but under new aspects, because Hewlett was tired to draw the characters. There were also a number of top guest singers who lent the songs Additional Voices, including Bobby Womack, Kano, Mos Def, Gruff Rhys, Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed and Mark E. Smith, also played the ex- Clash members Mick Jones and Paul Simonon the title track Plastic Beach. A song with The Horrors made it in the end not even on the album.
