Plateresque

The plateresque style ( spanish estilo plateresco derived from platero " silversmith " ) is an architectural style of the Spanish Renaissance. It occurs late 15th century and continues to the next two centuries. He maintains Gothic and Mudejar components and mixes them with characteristics of the early Italian Renaissance. It received its name due to the characterizing it ornate and highly articulated facades reminiscent of filigree silver work. Representatives of this style were Diego de Siloé, Alonso de Covarrubias and Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón. One of the most outstanding examples of plateresque style in Spain include:
