Platymantis taylori is an endemic to the Philippine island of Luzon frog. The specific epithet honors the American herpetologist Edward Harrison Taylor.

Features

The females of Platymantis taylori reach a length from 30.7 to 39.8 mm, the males in length from 26.6 to 33.0 mm. The tympanic cavity is clearly visible. The canthus is rounded. The teeth on the vomer are very prominent. The hind limbs are long. Webbed there in this kind only at the toe base. Back, muzzle, eyelids, throat, chin, abdomen and limbs are generally smooth, except for some low tubercles and folds to the front backs. Head, shoulder, back and sides are light brown to gray- brown. One of the center back extending, bright, irregular band extends from the snout to the anal region. Within this band, and adjacent areas, random dark spots can be seen. The lips have dark bands, the limbs dark transverse bands. Chin, throat, breast and flanks have dark spots. Vocalizations

Occurrence
