Plaus

Plaus (Italian: plaus ) is an Italian municipality with 697 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in South Tyrol, located in the Val Venosta to the Adige River to the west of Merano.

History

Plaus for the first time as Palus (Latin: Marsh ) in 1270 mentioned. The village belonged to the end of the First World War to the jurisdiction Merano and was part of the district of Merano.
