Plautia Urgulanilla

Plautia Urgulanilla was the first wife of the late Roman emperor Claudius. They married around the year 15 AD, but he was nine years later divorced her on grounds of adultery and murder suspect.

She was the mother of Claudius Drusus, and a daughter, Claudia, who was later rejected by Claudius.

Her father was the General Marcus Plautius Silvanus, consul in the year 2 BC Urgulanilla was named after her grandmother Urgulania, a close friend of Livia, wife of Augustus and mother of Tiberius.
