Plavna (Negotin)

Plavna (Cyrillic: Плавна ) is a village in the Opština Negotin and in Bor district in the east of Serbia.

History and name

The village was established in the 16th century from several former farms and was then called Turija i Zamna. Today Turija and Zamna are the two parts of the village.

Nearby is the cave Dudičeva Pecina is with a length of 2 km.

Population

The 2002 census (self- nomination) showed that 953 people live in the village.
