Play date or playdate called, mainly in American parlance, a prearranged meeting of children to exercise together fun activities for several hours.

Playdates have become increasingly common after the working hours of the guardians were getting longer and the public media recommended to let children play a generation together. Playdates are also linked with child-friendly event programs of museums, parks or playgrounds.

The intention of the playdates aims to free movement and interaction ability of children in a less structured environment than offer other planned activities generally.
