Pleitersheim is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bad Kreuznach.

Geography
Pleitersheim is located about seven kilometers east of the center of the city of Bad Kreuznach on a slightly to the southeast to the Karle creek, a left tributary of the Appel Bach, sloping grounds. Geographically, can be almost entirely treeless municipality to assign to the intensively farmed Wöllsteiner hills.
Pleiterheim bordered (clockwise ) to the local churches priests Swabia Mannheim, Baden home ( Mainz-Bingen district ), Wöllstein ( Alzey- Worms), Volxheim and the city of Bad Kreuznach.

The local council in Pleitersheim consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms
The coat of arms description reads: "Through a bent- red top, is a silver sechsspeichiges wheel, split, front geschacht of blue and gold in four columns, back in blue with four silver Tatzenkreuzchen sprinkled a silver, red bezungter lion. "
The coat of arms was re-created without precedent in 1954 and approved by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Interior. It symbolizes the former local lords, the Counts of Sponheim, the Counts of Nassau- Saarbrücken and Kurmainz (see also Mainzer Rad ).

Pleitersheim part of the " wine field Bingen " in the Rheinhessen region. In place four wineries operate, the area under vines is 63 hectares. Approximately 72 % of the cultivated wine are white wine varietals ( 2007).
