The Plješevica (Croatian also Lička Plješivica ) is a mountain range in Southeastern Europe, situated on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to Bihać in the Lika-Senj County. He is a part of the Dinaric Alps and extends from the Plitvice Lakes and the mountains of Mala Kapela in the north over 40 km to the south Gračac. There the Plješevica goes into the Velebit. In the northern part of the border runs right through the main ridge of the mountain.

The highest point is the summit of the mountain Ozeblin (1657 m) in the southern part in Donji Lapac. He is also the fourth highest mountain in Croatia. The highest mountain in the northern part is overlooking the Gola Plješevica ( " Kahle Plješevica ", 1649 m), the Bihać.

Few roads cross the mountains, highways 1 ( Karlovac - Split) and 218 ( Knin - Bihać ) around it in the West or East.

In the municipality of Plitvice Jezera on the Croatian side, and the municipality of Bihać in Bosnia - Herzegovina, was up to the Yugoslav wars one of the largest caverns in airplane Europe, the Flugzeugkaverne Željava.
