Plomelin

Plomelin ( Breton: Ploveilh ) is a commune in the Finistère department in the region of Brittany. The municipality belongs to the canton in the Arrondissement Quimper Quimper -3. Plomelin has called 4129 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ), the French Plomelinois.

Plomelin is located about seven kilometers southwest of Quimper on the Odet river.

Economy

The distillery of Menhir produces brandies and whiskeys of high quality. Instead barley buckwheat is used ( well-known brand: Eddu ). For tourism, there are numerous hiking trails in the community.
