Plovan

Plovan (French and Breton ) is a commune of the department of Finistère in the Brittany region. Administratively, it is assigned to the Canton Plogastel -Saint -Germain and the Arrondissement Quimper.

Geography

The village with 665 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) is located in the southwest of Brittany on the Atlantic coast. Quimper is located 21 km north-east and 54 km north of Brest.

In Quimper are the next departures of the highway E 60 (Brest -Nantes ) and a regional train station in the predominantly parallel railway line.

The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris and the airports Aéroport de Brest Brittany, near Brest and Lorient Bretagne Sud Aéroport de Lorient at the next regional airports.
