Pluot

Pluots, Apriums, Apriplums, or Plumcots are crosses between plums and apricots. Plumcots and Apriplums are hybrids of the first generation. Pluots and Apriums arise only by breeding after several generations (grade education). The fruits are characterized by the fact that they are very sweet and have small nuclei.

In nature Plumcots and Apriplums come for hundreds of years in all parts of the world in which to grow both plums and apricots. The name Plumcot was introduced by Luther Burbank.
