Plutarch is an impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front page, it is, therefore, if at all, only highly distorted from Earth visible. Located just south of Seneca and southeast of cock. The crater wall is terraced and the interior has a central mountain on.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek writer Plutarch.
