Plymouth Adventure ( Original title: Plymouth Adventure) is an American movie from 1952 with Spencer Tracy. Directed by Clarence Brown. The screenplay is based on a novel by Ernest Gebler.
Action
It tells of the arduous crossing of the Mayflower in 1620 by England in the "New World " to America. Captain Christopher Jones receives the order to embark a group of Puritan Pilgrims from England to America. The settlers do not suspect that the heartless and interested only in the profits captain was bribed. But not at the agreed landing site, but hundreds of miles further north in New England - At the end of an arduous and privation journey that survived, barely half of the settlers, is the captain of the haggard and drawn from scurvy settlers ashore from.
