The brig PNS Rah Naward is a sail training ship of the Pakistan Navy. In 2001, she was placed as Prince William for the Tall Ships Youth Trust ( TSYT ) in service and sold to the Pakistan Navy in 2010.

History

The ship was taken over in 1997 by the TSYT from an unfinished project from Germany to one of two commission by the TSYT tall ships to be brought into the service. At this time the ship's hull was for use as a cruise ship with two masts and sails, which was more than designed as a backdrop for serious use, planned. At the shipyard Appledore Shipbuilders in North Devon the shell according to the ideas of the client has been equipped as a brig and fertiggestellt.Um to improve the sailing performance was installed a 50 -ton ballast keel, which designed the rig sixty meters long and ten meters wide, two-masted ship Michael Willoughby.

Prince William finished the last trip as TSYT - ship in 2007. This year, the Board decided to sell the ship. It was first placed in the Naval Base Portsmouth and later in Kingston upon Hull. On 20 September 2010, the Pakistan Navy acquired the ship, renamed it in the context Naward and put it back into service.
